Who is responsible

What this website collects

• A first-party, cookieless script on this site records the page you view, the referrer, the page title, whether you are on a desktop, tablet or mobile (from screen width), and when you press a Book, My bookings, Gift cards or contact link. It does not set cookies. Campaign tags from the landing URL (for example utm_source or gclid) are kept in the browser's session storage for the visit only and are passed into the Adventuro booking window when you open it, so a booking can be matched to the campaign. The data is sent to Adventuro's analytics service.
• On barbarotoursmorocco.com only (not on the workers.dev preview), this site loads Google Tag Manager container GTM-PRDBX6G9. Tags inside that container are managed in Google’s interface, not in this website’s code. At the time this page was last updated, the container loaded Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-N7NTB2GERK) via Google’s analytics and tag-manager hosts, including google-analytics.com, analytics.google.com, googleadservices.com and doubleclick.net. Those tags may set cookies or use similar storage in your browser. We did not find Meta, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity tags in the container script when we checked.
• The home page keeps one note in your browser’s session storage to say its opening logo animation has played, so it does not repeat as you move around the site. The note holds no personal information and is cleared when you close the tab.
• Fonts and photographs are served from this website, not from third-party servers.
• The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and request logs may be kept to run and secure the site. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies when its protection features need them.

Bookings, payments and gift cards

When you press Book, or open Gift cards or My bookings, the booking window opens on top of this page. It is an embedded service from Adventuro, the booking system we use, served from widget.adventuro.com. What you enter in it goes to Adventuro, not to this website.

• The booking window collects what is needed to make and manage your booking, such as the trip, the date, the number of guests, your name and contact details, and payment.
• Payment is processed in the booking window. This website never receives or stores your payment details.
• We receive your booking details through Adventuro so we can run your trip: pickup, vehicle, driver, guide and, on multi-day journeys, the places you stay.
• So that Book buttons open without leaving the page, the booking window’s script loads from widget.adventuro.com on every page, on your first tap, click, scroll or key press, or once the page is idle. Adventuro may set its own cookies or use browser storage when the script loads or the booking window opens.

When you contact us

• If you message us on WhatsApp at +212 611 983 567, we see your number, your WhatsApp profile name and what you send. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own terms. WhatsApp links on this site can fill in a first message, such as the name of the trip you are asking about. Nothing is sent until you press send.
• If you email contact@barbarotoursmorocco.com, your message stays in our mailbox so we can reply and keep a record of your booking.
• If you call us, we use what you tell us to answer you and arrange your trip.

Marketing emails

On desktop, when you move to leave the site, you may see an optional box asking for your email address and a tick-box to agree to journey ideas and news. If you submit it, we store your address and consent in Adventuro’s customer records for Barbaro Tours of Morocco (centre 101307). That is not a booking. A welcome email may follow. Every marketing email tells you how to leave the list: email contact@barbarotoursmorocco.com and we will remove your address.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Process bookings and manage travel arrangements, from pickup to drop-off.
• Respond to enquiries and look after you before, during and after your trip.
• Send confirmations, itineraries and updates about your trip.
• Meet our legal obligations.

This website does not profile visitors for advertising.

Who we share it with

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only where needed, with:

• Adventuro, which runs the booking window, including payment.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website.
• The travel suppliers on your trip, such as hotels and camps and, on trips that include them, hot air balloon operators and other third-party services.
• Public authorities, where the law requires it or in response to a valid request, for example from law enforcement.

International transfers

Adventuro and Cloudflare may process your information outside Morocco and outside your own country, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

Keeping it safe

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. This website is served over an encrypted connection and never handles payment details. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

How long we keep it

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes in this policy, or as required by law. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access your data and get a copy of it.
• Have inaccurate information corrected.
• Have your data deleted.
• Object to or restrict how we use your data.
• Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, email contact@barbarotoursmorocco.com and tell us what you are asking for. Include the name and email address you booked with, so we can find your records. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on a request.

You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

When children travel with us, we hold only the details the adult who books gives us for the trip. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The updated version is posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
