Barbaro Tours of Morocco is the operator. For twenty-plus years Moulay Hafid Boumehdi has run days out of Marrakech, to the Palmeraie, Agafay, the Atlas, the coast and the Sahara. The company is family-run, licensed and insured. It owns the vehicles and employs the drivers, and the guides and desert crews are its own. Specialist sister sites sell some of those days under their own names. The company behind every one of them is this one.

How the network fits
Every trip in the family is run from the same office on Avenue Allal El Fassi, and every tour and activity books through the same system. A guest who books an Essaouira day on Marrakech Excursion Shop, an Agafay evening on Agafay Visit or an airport transfer on Taxi Cab Morocco is collected by a Barbaro driver in a Barbaro vehicle. Two more are on the way: Morocco Hot Air Balloons and Morocco Travel Advisors.
This website is where the company says so in its own name. It books the multi-day journeys no specialist site leads with, and sends everything else to the site that runs it.

A 22-vehicle fleet the company owns: 17-seat, 15-seat, 7-seat and 4×4. Drivers on the payroll, and our own guides and desert crews.
Trust
Licensed by the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Transport, and fully insured. Full refund up to 72 hours before any journey. On the three-day Agafay trip: “Hot air balloon and some third-party services may be non-refundable once confirmed.” Every trip shows its cancellation terms before you pay.

The network
Marrakech Excursion Shop, Agafay Visit and Taxi Cab Morocco are open now; Morocco Hot Air Balloons and Morocco Travel Advisors are on the way. Each has its own name and its own kind of trip, and all of them are run from this office.
Season
Christmas to New Year is the peak the whole fleet is staffed for. Summer is hot, so Agafay evenings and dawn balloon flights carry the season, and the desert journeys leave earlier.

One office runs it all. The driver who collects you is on the company’s payroll, and the guides and desert crews are its own. Guests on Tripadvisor thank them by first name.

Employed by the company
They drive the company’s own vehicles and collect you from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Many riads sit on pedestrian lanes, so the driver may park nearby and meet you on foot.
Our own guides
They lead the parts of the day on foot: the medinas, the kasbahs, the Atlas villages. As Moulay puts it, they are the ones who bring the travel experience to life.
